The Pass Guarantee

Pass your DMV knowledge test, or get 100% of what you paid for your Pro plan back. Here are the exact conditions, so there are no surprises.

How it works

  1. 1Buy a Pro plan for your vehicle type on dmv-iq.com.
  2. 2Practice until your IQ Readiness Score shows 80% or more for your state and vehicle type, and complete the Exam Simulator at least once.
  3. 3Take your official DMV knowledge test while your Pro access is active, in the state and vehicle type you studied for.
  4. 4If you do not pass, send us a claim through our contact form within 30 days of your test date, then reply to our message with the proof listed below.
  5. 5We review your claim within 5 business days. If it meets the conditions, we refund the full price of that plan to your original payment method. Your bank may take a further 5 to 10 business days to show it.

What counts toward the 80%

Only questions you actually answer count. Marking a topic as complete does not get you to 80%: on its own it earns only a small fraction of the score, and it cannot complete the Exam Simulator. We check your screenshot for the score, the questions answered and the tests completed, and compare it with what a real study history looks like.

What to send us

  • The email address you used to buy your plan.
  • A screenshot of your IQ Readiness Score page, showing your score, questions answered and tests completed, taken within 7 days before your test.
  • The official result from your state's DMV showing that you did not pass, with your name and ID numbers hidden if you like. The test date must be visible.

What is not covered

  • Plans bought in the DMV IQ mobile apps. Those are billed by Apple or Google and follow their refund rules.
  • Road tests, and any exam other than the written knowledge test for the vehicle type you studied.
  • Claims made more than 30 days after the test date, or for a test taken when your Pro access was not active.
  • More than one refund per customer for the same vehicle type.
  • Claims where the proof is missing or does not match our records. We may ask for more information before deciding.

Alongside your other rights

The Pass Guarantee does not limit any right you have under consumer protection law. DMV IQ is an independent study tool, not affiliated with any state DMV, and we cannot promise that any question will appear on your test.

Send us the claim form with your plan email, state, vehicle type and test date. We reply within 2 business days asking for your score screenshot and official result, which you attach to that reply.
