North Carolina's written knowledge test is administered by the NC Division of Motor Vehicles (NCDMV) and has a unique two-part structure. The main knowledge test consists of 25 multiple-choice questions, and you need at least 20 correct (80%) to pass. Additionally, there is a separate road signs test with 8 questions where you must get at least 6 correct (75%).

Where and How to Take It

What to Bring
