On the Oregon driving test, turns & intersections questions are part of the 35-question exam. Oregon requires a score of 80% (28 correct answers) to pass.
Intersections are where most accidents occur. This category covers proper turning procedures, turn signals, turning lanes, U-turns, and intersection navigation.
Always signal at least 100 feet before turning (some states require 200 feet). For right turns, turn from the rightmost lane into the rightmost lane. For left turns, turn from the leftmost lane into the nearest lane going in your direction.
U-turns are prohibited in many situations: near the crest of a hill, on curves, near intersections with traffic signals, and where \u201cNo U-Turn\u201d signs are posted. Understanding which lane to use for turns and how to navigate complex intersections is key.
